Aubertine and Currier is seeking a utility infrastructure construction inspector for the Lake Champlain area. This project is slated to run 11 months and will begin around September 1, 2022. The area of expertise sought is in municipal water and sewer distribution and collection systems, treatment, roadway, and site infrastructure. Responsibilities include: inspection documentation of daily construction activities, maintaining daily inspection logs, daily and weekly reports, measurement and tracking of unit price items for material and work performed, monthly payment application review, assistance to engineer regarding extra work claims and change orders, as-built documentation, monitoring of contractor scheduling, assistance with municipal permit, and liaison between with engineer, contractor(s), government agencies, and municipality. Must be capable of maintaining both written and computer-generated daily notes, logs and reports. A minimum of 5 years of civil/site utility construction experience, 10+ is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and own transportation. Must be physically able to navigate active construction sites. Must be capable of working independently at remote job trailer and from vehicle, including utilizing word, excel, email, and various web-based file sharing databases and construction management systems.
