Job Description: The field coordinator shall work to ensure that homeless children and youth, including preschoolers are identified, enrolled in school, and receive all eligible services to facilitate student academic success. The qualifications and responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive but serve as a foundation for the position. The coordinator position is a grant funded 1 year position of 220 work days.

Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred


Supervisory Experience

Grant Experience

Case Management Experience

Familiarity with McKinney Vento Act for Homeless Education

Experience referring and working with families and building trust relationships

Experience and knowledge working with homeless families.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity, and ability to work with families from diverse backgrounds as well as at-risk youth

Thorough understanding of the need for personal and professional boundaries and confidentiality

Ability to collaborate with a broad array of outside agencies, both governmental and community based, including school districts

Commitment to personal and professional integrity, and to the highest standards of ethics and professional practice

Pay: $250.00 – $300.00 per day
